LISTEN TO THE END - Or What Means Rock´N´Sad?

This very question finds its answer in Lacrimas Profundere's catchy, seventies-influenced, Gothic Rock, completed with dark melody lines. The crew was founded by Oliver Nikolas. Their unique style soon secured them a deal with Napalm Records. Promotional trips to Paris and a wide array of touring in France, Germany, Mexico, Swiss, Belgium and Turkey giving their soon-to-be fans a glimpse into the sounds and sights that make up Lacrimas Profundere.

Their previous release, "Fall, I will follow", did much to catapult the band into the media limelight. The reviews were outstanding and the album soon made out with the coveted "album of the month" title in a variety of magazines. In the German DJ charts, the album hit the charts in the top 15 for 12 weeks. Likewise, radio charts in the US placed the band in the top 20. With this release, the band toured Mexico in 2002, playing in sold-out venues.   In early 2003, the band performed live with Paradise Lost in Austria and Istanbul, and went on to play diverse festivals, ending the year with a tour in Germany in support of Amorphis in the fall. The tour closed the first chapter and opened the new one…   Mid 2004 the Band released the Album Ave End witch changed everything. Combining gothic melancholy mixed with the rock and metal roots of the Bandmembers. The album itself was recorded in Lungfull Studios and mastered at Finnvox Studios under the expert guidance of Mika Jussila. The filming of the title track's video clip followed thereafter, airing on biggest German TV-Stations like Viva,Viva Plus, Onyx TV, King Channel among others. A successful Tour in Germany and a Tour together with The 69 eyes followed in 2005. The crew continued the touring through the summer festival season.

In 2006 LACRIMAS PROFUNDERE returns with the Masterpiece "Filthy Notes for Frozen Hearts". Produced by John Fryer (HIM, Nine Inch Nails, Paradise Lost, Cradle of Filth, Depeche Mode). Recorded in Munich, mixed in London and mastered at the famous Finnvox Studios in Helsinki, the Band launches their latest gothic rock offering with the single "Again it's over". This Single entered the DAT 20 Charts for 6 weeks. The Album FILTHY NOTES FOR FROZEN HEARTS kept its chart position at the DAT20 and rose straight into the official Media Control Charts in Germany. The album itself sounds as if Sisters of Mercy all of a sudden decided to cover Type o negative, THE CULT, Sentenced, or the 69 Eyes. Coverstories in Europe followed and the band got an offer to accompany Lacuna Coil at their German and Austria tour! Both, the new Videoclips and the Touring established the band as the number one in German Gothrock-Scene!

Following their busy worldwide touring schedule, the infamous Bam Margera also took notice of the band and opted to use no less than 8 songs on his MTV show “Bam’s Unholy Union” and the track “Ave End” in his movie “Minghags”. With their increasing popularity growing by the minute, LACRIMAS PROFUNDERE embarked on a 4-week tour with Finnish superstars Apocalyptica and graced the stages festival circuit, including Summer Breeze, Summer Darkness, and M’era Luna, to name but a few.

Never change a winning team is still the band´s motto in 2008 and LACRIMAS PROFUNDERE follows this advice by once again working closely with producer John Fryer on "Songs for the Last View". The album was recorded in Germany, mixed in Norway, and mastered in teh legendary American Masterdisk Studios by Roger Lian (Aerosmith, Pantera, Nirvana) .The founders of “Rock ‘n Sad” return with full power ready to prove that Gothic Rock has never sounded more alive and heavier than in the here and now. The album can be described as the Gothic equivalent to “Appetite for Destruction” or a blood-brotherhood pact between the Sisters of Mercy and Type O Negative, H.I.M., or Guns ‘n Roses. This release proves that LACRIMAS PROFUNDERE is more than ready to take on the world with the best album of their career.

"Songs for the Last View” is a whirling current of powerful, dark, and graceful songs and an overdose of dirty riffs and melancholy that take the Gothic Rock genre one step closer to perfection. With masterful ease, they create a balance between driving rock and gentle reflection. The deep and strong vocals of the new frontman Rob Vitacca provide the finishing touch, giving the tracks their pronounced singularness, and making way for producer John Fryer (HIM, Nine Inch Nails, Depeche Mode...) and Roger Lian (Papa Roach, Creed, Pantera…) to refine the album's sound. "Songs for the Last View” offers the perfect soundtrack for sombre hearts, and for those who would like to join their ranks.
